Timbre is a proposed digital twin that carries a coach's method and a client's context between sessions.
Talk to the founder See the conceptCoaching runs on time, attention and a relationship built over repeated sessions. Between those sessions, the client is on their own. Our hypothesis: support between sessions can help clients stay engaged when life gets in the way. Early discovery with coaches is testing whether this is a problem worth paying to solve.
Weekly 1:1s are a lot to keep paying for.
The coach stayed behind, and so did the method.
Nobody noticed in time to adjust the plan.
The program stayed the same while everything else changed.
The coach keeps the relationship and oversight. The twin supports the work between sessions, in the coach's own style.
Built around each coach's cues, progressions and personality, so advice sounds like them and follows their rules.
Carries what happened last session into the next conversation.
With client consent, uses sleep, schedule and life context to shape the conversation.
Timbre is a set of claims to test before any claim of scale.
| Hypothesis | What we're testing | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Method fidelity | Does the twin make the call the coach would have made, across real client situations? | Untested |
| Tone as signal | Does voice tone add useful context beyond what the client says? Explored as a cue for the coach, never a diagnosis. | Untested |
| Trust & value | Will coaches and clients trust it enough to use it between sessions, and is it worth paying for? | Untested |
The proposed model is a monthly B2B subscription per coach twin. The coach keeps their client relationship and their coaching revenue.
Already working with clients remotely between check-ins.
Once the first use case proves out.
Each new field gets its own discovery, evaluation and safety boundaries.
A subscription priced against the extra clients a twin lets them serve.
The twin works for the coach, not the other way round.
Willingness to pay and compute cost are open questions.
Discovery: where does between-session support break down, what do clients need, who would pay?
A small, coach-specific prototype built around one real coach's method.
Test method fidelity and client usefulness against the ledger, before any claim of scale.
Early discovery only. No customer or partnership traction claimed.
Timbre is an idea-stage, pre-incorporation project by Gnana Prasanna Gnanaraj, an engineering leader and solo founder in London. If you're an online coach and this problem sounds familiar, or you're just curious, I'd like to hear from you.
